About Steven:
Steven Robinson is currently completing his Bachelor of Music Education degree at Kansas State University. Upon graduation, Robinson will be attending the University of North Texas as a masters student in Clarinet Performance. While completing his masters, Robinson will be working as private clarinet teacher in the Dallas - Fort Worth metroplex.
While attending Kansas State University, Robinson was named the 2018 Presser Scholarship recipient. Robinson was a finalist in the 2017 Kansas State University Honors Recital and won first place in the KSU Honors Recital in 2018. Through the Kansas State University Marching Band, Robinson was named a Rod Funk Silent Leadership Scholar in 2015, Assistant Section Leader of the Year in 2017, Section Leader of the Year in 2018, and Kappa Kappa Psi Bandsman of the year in 2018. In 2017, Robinson was selected as the principal clarinetist of the Kansas Intercollegiate Orchestra.
Robinson was a member of the Kansas State University Wind Ensemble four years with three as the principal clarinetist. Along with this group, Robinson was the principal clarinetist for the Kansas State University Orchestra four seasons. Other groups that Robinson performed in were the Kansas State University Woodwind Ensemble, the Kansas State University Clarinet Choir, and the Kansas State University Clarinet Quartet.
