Positive Tomorrow's
Shelly Fryer-Teacher, Author, Speaker, & Advocate for Children
Shelly Fryer is a teacher at Positive Tomorrows Elementary School in Oklahoma City, Ok which is a school designed to help homeless children. She teaches in a 1:1 iPad class and enjoys helping students discover the love of learning. Shelly's site is a great resource for teachers to look at because it offers inspirational thoughts towards teaching and making learning enjoyable for students as well as giving ideas for projects that can be integrated into the classroom. She has many thoughts on using technology in classrooms to provide a more enjoyable education for students. Check out this short video to gain an understanding from Shelly, herself, about her classroom and few literacy apps that have helped her in the classroom!
Shelly is all about building relationships with students and using STEM activities such as "MakerSpace" to help create enjoyable activities for students that they will love to do. Shelly also uses podcasts, presentations, and much more to integrate technology in the classroom which you can all find on her website which I have included a link to below. Check out this video of how Shelly demonstrated how her students are using iPads in school to demonstrate knowledge of class procedures and expectations as well as what the learned from a book called, "The Important Book" by Margaret Wise Brown.
