In this exercise I was able to use informal assessment to identify where specific students were with their development on recorder. I choose students to come to the front of the class and lead them in an activity called, "Be My Echo." Those students who could lead successfully I knew had mastered the content. Others still needed more work. This also allowed me some time where I did not need to be in front where I could move around and assess the other students on the risers.
